Faust Wish is an entertainment application powered by artificial intelligence. It is not a professional service of any kind. All responses are generated by AI for entertainment purposes only.
We do not collect, store, or retain any personal data. There are no user accounts, no database, and no way for us to identify you. We never ask for your name, email address, or location.
Some of the services the app relies on do collect data of their own, directly, without it ever passing through us. Those are listed in section 3. What follows is what happens to what you actually say and type.
Your voice. The audio is handled entirely by your device's built-in speech recognition service. It never reaches our servers and we never receive, hear, or store a recording. Depending on your device, your language settings, and whether you are online, that service may transcribe the audio on the device itself or send it to its provider — on most Android devices, Google — for processing. Only the resulting text is sent to us.
Your wish text. The transcription (or the text you type, if you write your wish instead) is sent to our server and forwarded to a third-party AI provider to generate a response. The same applies to the cards and theme of a tarot reading. We do not store, log, or retain your wishes, your readings, or FAUST's responses — they exist only for the duration of the request.
On your device. Your daily consultation count and your saved tarot reading are stored on your device only, and are deleted when you uninstall the app. They are never transmitted to us.
An anonymous install id. The first time you open the app it generates a random identifier and sends it with each request, so our server can apply its fair-use limit per installation rather than per network address. It is random, tied to nothing about you, used for nothing else, shared with nobody, and gone when you uninstall. It is not an advertising or tracking identifier.
Faust Wish uses the following third-party services:
Speech recognition — your device's built-in recognition service, which on most Android devices is provided by Google. Google's privacy policy applies to the audio processed by it.
AI providers — your wish text is sent to one of several providers to generate a response, depending on availability at the time of your request: Groq, Cerebras, Google (Gemini), Mistral AI, or OpenRouter. The privacy policy of whichever provider handles the request applies to the text sent to them. We send only the wish text — never an identifier, an account, or a recording.
Google AdMob — serves the optional rewarded ads. AdMob automatically collects device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID), app interaction data, and diagnostic information. This data is collected and managed entirely by Google LLC under their own privacy policy. We do not receive, store, or process this data ourselves.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Faust Wish asks for your consent before showing personalised ads. You can refuse, and refusing costs you nothing but the optional rewarded ads.
To change your answer at any time — whether you consented or refused — open the consultations screen (the one offering "gaze into the abyss") and tap privacy options. The same consent form reopens and whatever you choose replaces your previous answer immediately. Withdrawing consent is exactly as easy as giving it, and takes effect straight away.
Independently of this app, Android lets you reset or delete your advertising ID from Settings → Privacy → Ads, which applies across every app on your device.
Faust Wish is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone. If you are under 13, do not use this app.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
